Delicious Bread Pudding Recipe

- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 1/4 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups day-old bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup raisins
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Add the bread cubes to the bowl, and stir in the brown sugar and raisins, if using, until the bread is evenly coated with the egg mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to an 8×1 3/4 inch round oven-safe baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Place the dish inside a larger, shallow baking pan, then set the pan on the oven rack.
- Carefully pour hot water into the larger pan until it reaches about 1 inch in depth.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 45 minutes, or until a knife inserted halfway between the center and the edge of the dish comes out clean.
