Delicious Bread Pudding Recipe


Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups day-old bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  2. Add the bread cubes to the bowl, and stir in the brown sugar and raisins, if using, until the bread is evenly coated with the egg mixture.
  3. Transfer the mixture to an 8×1 3/4 inch round oven-safe baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  4. Place the dish inside a larger, shallow baking pan, then set the pan on the oven rack.
  5. Carefully pour hot water into the larger pan until it reaches about 1 inch in depth.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 45 minutes, or until a knife inserted halfway between the center and the edge of the dish comes out clean.
